As a class we have been learning about passports and how they are an important document to citizens that live in a country.
We found out the definition of a passport, we read a text about what is a passport, and we watched a video about how to take a passport photo and the regulations and rules of what that photo needs.
We then experimented taking photos of ourselves, as if we were taking a passport picture. We thought about the backgrounds, our facial expressions, how much of ourselves needed to be in the picture, and the lighting.
We came up with a success criteria of:
-No shadows
-Light is behind us
-Clear and empty background
-Straight and plain face
-From our shoulders to just above our hair
-The camera should be taken straight in front, not on an angle
Once we chose our picutre, we added it to the document and filled in some information too.
As a class, we then critiqued each others pictures to see if we had followed all the correct steps and regulations.
Here are the results!
Kia ora Room 1. What a great idea to learn about passports. They are an important document. I wonder why we are not allowed to smile when we have our passport photo taken. Do you know why?
